Northbench Tech Repair is a mail-in Mac specialist. We service and repair MacBooks and Macs at the board level, upgrade soldered MacBook storage, and recover data. Everything is mail-in: ship from anywhere in the US, and we return your device with tracking.

Northbench is an independent, owner operated repair business. Every device is handled by the same technician from intake to return shipping.

We work quote first. We diagnose the actual fault, quote the fix, and do nothing until you approve it. When a repair is not worth the cost, we say so.

Our flagship is the soldered storage upgrade most shops decline. The original NAND chips come off, higher capacity chips go on, and the system is configured and fully tested. Storage is the only upgrade we offer: Apple Silicon Macs use unified memory that is part of the processor package and cannot be upgraded.

We handle logical data recovery in house. For drives that need a cleanroom or physical recovery, we partner with DriveSavers, a professional data recovery lab, so your files end up in the right hands.
